Where Are the Gods?
I went to Greece to find the Gods,
But they weren’t there.
The chariot of Helios is sitting under a tarp behind a gas station in Exachia,
It’s missing a wheel that got sheared off by an Airbus over Athens International.
The temple of Poseidon is short its roof and Old Trident himself was last seen having drinks,
Bobbing in the Adriatic with Jeff and Lauren.
The Oceanus has been paved over and no one’s sure about the shades of Elysium,
And Hades moved to Miami.
Aphrodite was spotted in Paris during Fashion Week,
Behind dark glasses, frowning at her phone outside Les Deux Magots.
Hermes now runs a spot in Berlin called Die Magischer Helm,
Where life is a purple blur for as long as you can bob in place.

And Zeus?
He was in Davos looking toned and tanned in his Patagonia vest,
Hosting a forum on tax havens.
The nymphs and dryads are gone too,
No more springs and groves for them,
Its all Tik Tok these days,
With little Sabrina leading the way.
